Step by step registration takes its ordering and steps from the tabs. Is there a way to make it use the names of the tabs as well?
No, step by step is 100% jQuery driven. It has no idea what the tabs names are. It's just able to see their div exists in the DOM and makes it a step. Please note next CB Conditional release will have step by step removed. The reason behind this is I've implemented a feature in CB 1.10.0 to enable Tabbed registration. Basically registration at that point will look just like profile edit (tab names intact and all).
