I would like to show a list inside a module;
is this possible with CB content module?

No, there's no user list rendering substitutions. You'll need to load the userlist page in an iframe, but as soon as you use pagination it's going to load the full site. It's really not suited for a modules size though so I don't recommend it. I suggest using something more compact like one of the modules from Software4Joomla to display users in various scenarios (online, new registrations, etc..) or create a module to display specifically what you're wanting.

NoNumber has a new component called Components Anywhere, that could do it with a CustomHTML module.

That's not going to solve the issue of pagination and searching. So the userlist could be used for display purposes only I suppose, which you could just do with an iframe if that's all that's needed.
