[SOLVED] New subscribers cannot access site - Unable to add users using back-end.

Hi,

When a new user subscribes, pays and confirms their subscription they are unable to gain access to the site. A message comes up saying "user name and password do not match or your account is not active yet".

Also, I am unable to manually create a new account in the backend - I get the same message.

Existing members can still access the site.

This is a new problem as of last week - everything was working fine before then.

I'm on CBsubs 1.9.1 - The only new variable is that I tried upgrading to Joomla 3.2 earlier this week. I use Cloudaccess to host my site. The upgrade did not work and took down my site. Cloudaccess then did a "workaround" in order to get the site back up. 3.2 is now running.

What should I do?

Thanks

Mike

All of this is due to bugs in Joomla 3.2 new password encryption. Please see the below for a possible workaround.
