[SOLVED] Remove "verify password" field in registration form

10 years 11 months ago - 10 years 11 months ago #237546 by hectoritobh
Hi,

In the registration form I am creating, I need to remove the "verify password field". Can you please advice how to achieve this?

FYI, I added "_UE_Blank" in "Label for the verify password field:", as suggested in this forum post , but that doesn't do the trick.

Thanks for your help! :)

Hector

You can't remove the verify field. It's to ensure the user supplies a valid password. It's hardcoded to always display. The topic you linked was to remove the title, not the field it self.

I think this is bad design. Most sites no longer do this as the overhead per registration is disproportionate to any benefit. There are many advantages to verifying emails but passwords can be reset easily.

You can turn it off in CB 2.0 with the "Verify field input" parameter being set to "Disable".
