Suggestion for CB 2.0 (or earlier...) for friendship and followers

That's the case. A community where people, organizations and companies are put together.

I suppose I would ask a friendship to a person, meanwhile I would follow an organization or a company page.

Using CBSubs I could create 3 different account type:

- people
- organization
- company

People can ask friendship to other people and also can follow other people; meanwhile they can just follow Organizations and Companies and can't ask them friendship.
Organizations and Companies just can follow each other and people too and can't ask friendships.

So, maybe this could be a new plugin (?) that can manage 2 fields: friendship "button" and follow "button". This way I could assign them according to CBSubs plans.


Just an idea... what do you think about?

We'll be upgrading Connections to support user supplied connection types and category views for those connection types. This probably won't be in CB 2.0 though, but CB Connections in CB 2.0 will be improved.

Ok, I hope you would consider this feature. It would be very very usefull and other community components for joomla already have integrated it.

If implemented it'd be as a separate plugin as it's not the same as CB Connections.
