does anyone know if there is a good working plugin for CB which enforces that the password will expiry after a specific time and the user has to set a new one
CB has no such feature and am not aware of any plugin available that does this. I suppose you could try to do it with CB Auto Actions, but I'm not sure how unless you informed the user their password is expired, change it to something random, and that'd force them to use forgot login but chances are high you'll destroy your userbase doing something like that.

Never heard of it so no idea how well it'd work or if it'd even work with CB. CB does not store the password as it lets Joomla handle this in _users so it might work.
