Having a bit of trouble with Wall reply notifications.

No matter what the user sets or what the default is for "Member reply to my existing posts" or "Create Reply" (in the backend) all members of a group still get reply notifications.

What we really would like is for group members to get no reply notifications unless they are the owner of the original post or they have already replied and are thus part of the reply conversation.

It's not possible for the "User reply to my existing posts" notification to send to every user. It only queries for 1 entry and is coded to send only 1 notification. The "Create of new post" notification applies to new posts in general (including replies).

That's odd. i just tested it again, this time I added a few more test users to the group. It's sending all replies to the post creator as well as one of my test users. I'll try delete that test user and recreate it.

So am I right in saying that only the post creator gets notifications of replies, so if someone replies to a post there is no way for them to get notified about ongoing conversation?

No, as explained in my previous reply "Create of new post" will send a notification for replies too.

Kyle,

Where is this setting "Create of new post"? Is it possible to only send notifications of 'new posts' to a specific email address? In GroupJive, I have set all notifications to 'Notify' in the Configuration / Notifications and have set the email address to the person we want to receive the notifications but when we create a wall post, nothing goes to the email address.

The user has to be an actual active member of the group to receive the notification. Otherwise it will send them nothing. The Wall integration notifications can be found by navigating to a group and clicking Notifications then under the Group tab you'll have a Wall tab to configure wall integration notifications.
