CBSubs - limiting authors to their own content

I would site authors to be able to view their own content, but not content from other authors (non authors also shouldn't be able to view another authors content). In other words, if an author submits a directory listing, I would like them to only see articles (or directory items) that they created. All others may see a preview , but not the entire listing. Is this possible to accomplish with CBSubs? In the past, I've only been able to restrict content by usergroup, but this won't work in my case because authors will be able to see content of other authors. I also cannot create separate groups for each user because I have thousands of users. Please advise.

No, not unless you created a CBSubs plan per user and a Joomla section or category per user. This is fine if you've only a handful of users to do this for, but for dozens upon dozens there's really no elegant solution. You could try using CB Blogs to limit them to a list of categories then to prevent others from viewing you could protect the tab it self using CB Privacy and moderator controlled privacy set to Private so only moderators and the user can see the tab.
