I would like to drop the suggestion to have the error messages during registration in only ONE field or even better within a special light-box at the top that say "please enter all required fields" or something like that.
This is already the case assuming you don't have any fatal JS errors causing CBs jQuery Validate to break. PHP validation will always show at the top as a message (note the annoying JS alert is removed with CB 2.0). Aside from that I don't understand your issue/suggestion, sorry.
