I would like to apply a different class to the Menu item Community Builder Registration page and a custom HTML module on the same page.

I intend this to be my Home Page as I re-build my site with a brief description/images on the left and registration on the right. I want the page to be divided vertically into 2 equal width columns

I am using Joomla 3.2
Protostar template
Community Builder 1.9.1
Module positon-8(Left) which is class="span3"
CB Registration page which is class="span9"
I would like both to be class="span6" on this page only.

How do I do this please?

You need to edit your Joomla template and adjust its width as needed as CB is not responsible for this. As far as I am aware the protostar template doesn't have parameters to adjust the width so you'll need to edit its index.php.

Thanks Krileon.

Having read a little more, It seems that if I set the module class to class="span6" then the content will automatically revert to class="span6" as well.

Could you possible tell me how to do this with perhaps the 'Module Class Suffix' or is this not the right way?

Protostar is based off Bootstrap 2. See the below regarding grid usage for Bootstrap 2.

getbootstrap.com/2.3.2/scaffolding.html#fluidGridSystem

Could you possible tell me how to do this with perhaps the 'Module Class Suffix' or is this not the right way?

That has nothing to do with column sizes. That just applies the a specific modules container.

We are not the create of Joomlas template. I suggest posting to the Joomla forums regarding usage of Joomlas template. We can only advise you on our templates, which you are not using.
