[SOLVED]Conditional Plugin was created by dillydally
Hi, I've just upgraded to Pro as I felt I couldn't live without the conditional plugin for this non-profit site ... but now I'm stuck, there is no video available where it should be and I can't find any documentation, please can you guide me?

Thanks

Seems there is confounding information www.joomlapolis.com/support/tutorials/107-use-cases/18336-using-cb-conditionals-to-hide-or-show-fields-or-tabs ... still not sure I can get this right.

The tutorial you linked shows exactly how to use it. If you've any further questions regarding it then feel free to ask. Also be sure to review the ? info icons carefully as they'll describe the various inputs. In most cases you'll want to use Conditional Self rather than Conditional Other as it tends to behave more reliable. Also keep in mind the last condition applied to a field is the only condition that will take a affect as conditions are not AND/OR situations (they're completely independent of one another).

Thanks ... I have been at this all day and the notes are helpful to a degree but they are not comprehensive enough (OK for me at least).

I've finally discovered that the last tab will be the only one considered so that is great but it doesn't solve the conditions I need for 2 other options.

For example
Choose
Employee
Self-Employed
Looking for work
Retired

If Employee / Self-Employed is selected I need Company information to appear and I need Looking for work (details) to hide.

If Looking for work or Retired is chosen I need to hide Company information

for example so I have a requirement for the VALUE field to somehow contain a selection of fields from Employment Status ... how can I achieve this?

Thanks ... by the way the site says there is a video on the download page which is not there, which I was hoping may help my understanding.

:)

If Employee / Self-Employed is selected I need Company information to appear and I need Looking for work (details) to hide.

Add a conditional self to Looking for work with the operator set to REGEX and the value of /Employee|Self-Employed/. This will allow it to condition if either of those values are selected. This is how you do same field multi-value conditionals.

If Looking for work or Retired is chosen I need to hide Company information

Add a conditional self to Company Information with the operator set to REGEX and the value of /Looking for work|Retired/.

by the way the site says there is a video on the download page which is not there, which I was hoping may help my understanding.

A good bit of our information is out of date. We'll be addressing all those issues after release of CB 2.0. The video in question is gone now as it's completely out of date. At any rate the old page can be found below, but it doesn't have anything information.

The tutorial is the best example of the plugins usage.
