PHP version isn't an issue then. I'm not sure what's causing your current problem but I've fixed our date functions in CB 2.0. It's likely some of the calculation usage in our date functions in 1.9 are causing your problem. I recommend using Timeago until CB 2.0 (may want to be used to its display anyway as static display is gone next CB Activity).
