Multiple CB Invite texts was created by endoc
I am using CB for a professional organization that does not allow public registration. The CB invites plugin has worked beautifully to invite guests to register (invite code required) and attend our meetings. I now need to keep that functionality AND add invitations for speakers to participate in our meetings (which will also require permission to register).

Is there a way to have 2 sessions of the plugin installed, along with 2 tabs: one for managing the invitations to guests and the other for speakers? Or as another option, is it possible to have an alternate invitation so a user can select which invite to send?

Your assistance would be very appreciated. Thanks!

Jon

No, that is not possible. The plugin would need to be designed to do that and there are no intentions of designing it to have multiple tabs of same usage. You would need to duplicate the plugin and completely modify the duplicate to be unique so it can install alongside the existing plugin.

No, not without modifying the plugin to have such a feature.

I'm revisiting this thread nearly a year later, because the function of having a separate invitation is now much more of a priority.

There are two subscription plans that I need to invite users to join, both are URL-specific links from the invite email, but they cannot share invitations.

I like the idea of having a duplicate plugin, but its not anything that I have done before. Can I rename the already installed plugin, and then install a new version? Can you advise on the process? Would this also allow a separate/unique profile tab to send the invites? If so, this would be a perfect solution.

Thanks in advance.

I am still not understanding your use case need.

Invitations are sent to get people to join your site.

Once someone joins there is not use case I can think of to send yet another invitation to join the already joined site.

GroupJive also has invitations to join groups - maybe this can help you?
