I included a field of type "query" and expect multiple rows as result. When I leave the
"row" field empty, nothing is displayed. when I put in a coma, the gets displayed the same amount as I expect results, but the results itself do not appear inbetween the comas.

How do I get the "row" field to display the query result?

cheers

Please read the tooltips when mousing over the info icons carefully. It explains how to display the values. You need to use the special [column_COLUMN] substitutions to substitute in the query select column values.

Thanks for the hint. I did read and tried to use this like [id] for the column id - but it does not work. So what else could I be missing?

You need to use [column_id] to substitute in the SELECT column id. Example as follows.

Query:
Code:
SELECT `id` FROM `#__users` WHERE `username` = '[username]'
Substitution: [column_id]

Thanks, that this "column_" is a prefix was not really appealing to me :)
