a registered user wants to edit (ajax inline editing) some fields on his profile. Field text is changed and text "not authorized to view this page" is displayed. How come?

Displayed where? Please be more specific as to what is happening. Are you using CB Core Fields Ajax? Are you using the CB Ajax Text Field plugin? If using CB Ajax Text Field switch to CB Core Fields ajax as CB Ajax Text Field is deprecated.

I've reviewed your install and it's because you've set "Allow Access To:" within CB > Configuration > User Profile to be above the users actual access level. This means they can't actually access their own profile, but we force it anyway when directly accessing as to avoid issues; ajax endpoints however will still fail. I've changed it to all registered users and your issue appears resolved. Please also confirm is resolved.

For future reference please do not send credentials we did not request. We do not do install reviews on user request. They are a last resort if we suspect a bug or can not resolve the issue by normal support communications.

Yes that's always the case. CB Moderators can edit other users profiles if you have it enabled though.
