Hello,

I have found the CB Invite plugin very useful, but have encountered a limitation that I hope I can find a solution to overcome. I am using CB/SB Subs for a Professional Organization site made up of permanent members who can invite yearly guests. The Invite code has worked very well in order to limit unauthorized Guest users from registering. The invitation text automatically generates the code when the invitation is sent.

My current problem is that now I need to create a new subscription plan to invite speakers into the organization (we haven't tried this approach up until now). In order to do this, I need to either: 1) have an alternate invite text for a special subscription plan which still uses the code, or 2) Disable the code for this one Speaker subscription plan and not use the CB Invite plugin at all, and just email a URL-specific link for the plan to the prospective speaker. Alternate invite text doesn't seem to be an option with the plugin, but the invitations to speak and to register as a guest will be going out concurrently.

Can you suggest a solution?

Thank you,

Jon

You want a plan to only be visible if a specific invite code is supplied? I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're trying to do. If possible please clarify a little further and will suggest best I can a solution.

Sorry, I will try to be more clear.

I would like to have a plan that does not require the invite code, but keep it required for the existing plans.

Set the invite code field to hide on registration on the Workflows tab of your plan. This should cause it to hide the invite code field during registration and shut off its required state when that plan is selected.

Ahh... ok. I didn't understand that hiding it would disable it, too. That should work.

Thanks for your help!
