[SOLVED] add contiditional coupon

how would i set up an automatic upgrade promotion? from within the plan or from within the promotion & how would that be set up?

example:
bill is subscribed to lifetime plan a
bill upgrades to lifetime plan b

i want bill to receive the full cost of plan a to be reduced when he upgrades to plan b.

to be more specific, i do see how to add a "condition" for promotions in the Conditions tab of each plan. i also understand how to create the condition, however i am stuck with knowing how to actually apply the promotion if the condition is met.

example:
condition 1
existing subscriptions: plan a
must be in state: active
or can be purchased same time: no

this is where i get stuck. how do i now tell it that IF the above has been met to apply promotion x?

Your conditional looks correct, but on the General tab of the Promotion set "Promotion Type:" to "Applies to all purchases" and the discount should automatically apply.
