Management connections not working was created by chip15
Ok we have just set up community builder, as I am unfamiliar with this program we are having a little trouble in some area.

I have it being tested and have been sent a request to connect and have received the email below

Daniel is requesting to connect with you and requires your approval. Please accept or deny the connection request accordingly. Daniel included the following personal message:

Hey manu

Daniel Profile: www.teen2teen.com.au/en/profile-view/userprofile/Daniel?tab=1

Manage Connections: www.teen2teen.com.au/en/profile-view/manageconnections

NOTE: This email was automatically generated from Teen2Teen ( www.teen2teen.com.au ).

However when I click any of the links and login I have no pending connection requests, so how can they connect if this is what happens. I was under the impression when we purchased the program that everything should be easy to set up, however in trying to get this to work and connect with other programs and in trying to get alpha points to work we have been having many problems and are unsure if in fact what has been done is going to work and be reliable. Any help will be much appreciated.

Also have no where to change the password, when someone has forgotten it gives you a password to use but nowhere to reset a new one instead of using the one issues by the system

You need to go to Connection Management, which is a link on the CB Menu (dropdown menu) on your profile or if you've created a Joomla menu link to it that'll also work. You can also have the Login module display new connection request counter, which links to connection management. It's also possible possible they removed their connection to you before you could accept it.

CB has always been free and open source. You were welcome to try core CB before subscribing. CB Quickstart Pro can also be used to auto configure most of your install to get you up and running as quickly and as easily as possible. More on Quickstart Pro can be found below.

www.joomlapolis.com/community-builder/cb-quickstart-pro

We also have an extensive documentation, which you can download from the Advanced downloads section.

We also can't guarantee how well 3rd party extensions will behave with CB or if they'll even integrate with CB at all.

Also have no where to change the password, when someone has forgotten it gives you a password to use but nowhere to reset a new one instead of using the one issues by the system

They can change their password in profile edit after logging in.

Being new to CB I highly suggest reading the documentation, which you can download from the Advanced downloads section as it will get you started on all the CB basics.
