Content Substitutions separation of intro text and substitution?

Hello, i am using the cb content module to display some tabs and fields in the front end. However i cannot figure out how to display more than 1 substitution in each module because it will not recognize when i press the space bar or hit the enter button. all of the text and code is displaying in a strait line and not recognizing the space and enter (to send to next line) function even though it shows that i clicked space bar and enter while inputting my text and code into the modules text area.
Is there a simple way to create space between the text and code?

Please provide an example of the html you're trying to supply to the module. Line breaks and spaces should work fine assuming latest CB Content Module (1.5) is being used as Joomla filtering of it is turned off in its XML.
