About 2.x version was created by lucablue
Hi,
since the next version of CB is about to release I'd like to know if the follow feature is added or not:

The possibility to insert a flexible field customizable by registered user into his profile:

Ex.
How many children have you got? (if the answer is 1, will compare 1 multiple field with x spaces as Name of children, Age of children. If the answer is 2, will compare 2 multiple field ... etc)

Thank you

No, it's not possible yet, but we're working towards it. Probably won't see such a feature until at minimum CB 2.1. It's called a repeating field and our XML engine has been upgraded with such API, but until we're using XML on frontend (not in CB 2.0, but 2.1 or later; backend will be XML in CB 2.0) such a feature won't be available.

Your current alternative is to manually create multiple sets of fields then chain them together using CB Conditional.

Thank you for suggestion but I've tried with that plugin but it's not good for my purpose.

Since I need to register different products, the user could register 1 product now, and another one in 1 year, for example. So this plugin should verify if exists any other product for this user, than show other fields for a new product.

Do you know any plugin could do this? (even if not included in CB but CB compatible)
Thank you

You would need to create multiple sets of fields. For example you'd have say 10 sets of fields that provide what you need. Then use CB Conditional to show/hide them based off a select field which lets them select 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.. Alternative is to use some sort of 3rd party extension that provides what you're wanting (maybe a custom Form extension like RSForms).

Hi Luca,

you definitely need to take a closer look at the Conditionals plugin, as Kyle already suggested.

Conditionals does exactly what you need.

It´s very easy to use, since it is almost self-explanatory.

I did create over thirty options with five optional fields each and it works like a charm!
