CB with Kuena was created by wjgadmin
i have installed the kuena forum & i am trying to set some of the forum categories by community builder registered/paid users. i have the plugins enabled & i set the kuena category permission to use CB, however even when logged in as a user it will not display the categories that are set to display for CB users in our database. however if i set it to user joomla registered users it works just fine.
any thoughts as to why it will work for joomla but not CB?
the issue is that i only want to show these categories to members whom have paid & i can not control that with just a joomla registered user..
thank you

Don't understand the issue. Kunena uses Usergroups or View Access Levels for its category access. This is independent from CB. The feature in Kunena to allow CB control access just fires a CB trigger so CB plugins like GJ can control access to their categories.

thank you for the response. i finally figured it out.....
it is very complicated & kuena gives no support for integration with CB which i find odd because they offer the integration.
basically you have to assign users to a group & a group to a category within groupjive & then assign the kuena categories to the groupjive categories & so on..... past this you have to delete the categories that you created in groupjive from the kuena categories because it automatically forms new ones each time so they can appear 2 times.
anyway thank you!

You don't need to do anything for GJ to control Kunena category access except enable the Kunena CB plugin. When you create a group or category in GroupJive it will automatically handle the access to its Kunena category. You don't need to do any manual configuration beyond enabling the plugin.

thanks guys for the help! there is only 1 final question (please see bottom of message)
it actually wasnt setting things up that was confusing. it was really on kuena's end. so basically i had to create a new category & group from within groupjive for every single category that i wanted to show in the kuena forum if i wanted it to be only available to certain cb/cbsubs users. so i had to figure that out & determine that i could not use kuena to create any categories unless they were going to be set to public or "registered" users. in my case "registed" users didnt do any good because i wanted to limit it to not only registered, but to certain cbsubs plan members.
anyway hopefully this will help anyone else reading this. quick note to them:)
1. if you want to limit your forum to cbsubs users you must create a group & category for each from within groupjive & not kuena (the category will automatically show in kuena after creating it in groupjive).

lastly my question: i am quite concerned with the seo structure of the kuena forum. i have set the "forum" menu item (automatically created) to no index,no follow however when viewing my page source it still says index, follow. i am just concerned that there will be tons of duplicate page meta tags & mess up my seo. could you shed your light on this?
i have done the following: (is this correct?)
1. set the "forum" menu item to no index,no follow
2. placed this in my robots.txt file Disallow: /forum/
3. inside the view.php file i changed all index, follow to noindex, nofollow located at this directory: libraries/kunena/view.php

thank you kindly
