They're generated internally within CB Menu plugin. What do you want to change about them specifically? Please note we can not advise you on core edits.

No, not core edits, i just want to restrict some profiles to 'update your profile' option only.
if say hide menu tab from certain profiles and instead make 'update your profile' an external URL menu item using link - index.php/user-details/userdetails, but then i'm wondering how to insert it into the profile? is that doable?

You can't remove or restrict the CB Menu items. You can add new CB Menu items using CB Auto Actions and its Menu action.

i dont want to restrict menu items if its impossible, i could condition menu tab not to show on some profiles and instead provide 'update' link or button on others, if that's technically possible. There is a menu item type 'user profile edit' under Community Builder in Joomla menu (attaching screenshot), can i place it on user profile on some profiles instead of CB menu? and how, what't the workflow?

thanks for CB auto actions, great extention, i actually used it for CBSubs to make additional plan to be selected automatically after registration

Joomla menu usage is separate from CB Menu usage. Joomla menu items are rendered through Joomla menu modules. CB Menu is rendered through the menu bar on top of profiles and menu items are added using CB API. There is no GUI for adding to CB Menu. It has to be done through API, which CB Auto Actions can help with. The already existing menu items can not be restricted, hidden, or anything of the sort as they're conditionally added through the API as needed. You can condition the entire Menu tab though using CB Conditional, but I'm not so sure this is going to fit your needs.
