That was not my question, i don't want neither add items to nor restrict cb menu, i was going to condition the entire cb menu tab not to show on some profiles at all, and use joomla menu item 'user profile edit' instead (the one in attached screenshot), if that were possible. in other words my question is - does this joomla 'user edit profile' have the same functionality - ie to lead to profile edit and is it possible to render it on profile and if yes how?

Yes you can condition the entire Menu tab using CB Conditional. Yes, the Joomla menu item for profile edit functions the same as the CB Menu item to update profile. Yes, you can display it on profile as it's a Joomla menu item which is displayed through a Joomla module; you'd just assign the module to your profile menu item so when viewing a user profile that menu module will display.

Thank you!:) did it, but it sits on joomla content position, so have one more question: is {loadposition module} possible within user profile, on the tab or field?

Not in 1.x, but yes it's possible in CB 2.0 Beta 3 for delimiter fields. Next CB 2.0 release it'll also be possible in any field using the new layout feature.
