It seem like the JoomlaCK component "jcktypography" requires CURL function on different port, or it will work in port 80 too?
It sys this plugin requires CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION function to run!
They don't provide "curl" on their servers, so what to do?
Can I not use this editor on CB, or?
Give them the error message and they should be able to solve it from there as it's a server configuration issue. This is not something we or anyone else except your host can resolve. Is there anyone her that can give me some kind of solution for this that I can give to my hosting?
You need to contact the developers of JCK Editor. We did not develop that extension so we've no way of providing support for it. I recommend using JCE Editor though.Hi, I have a new site with Joomla 3.2 + CB 1.9 and I have problems with plugins, especially with JCK Editor and a file called:
"jcktypography" makes the front-end crash!
That usually means your site is running with safe_mode enabled or open_basedir is set to be to strict. It says this plugin requires CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION function to run!
Yes, Joomla makes a CURL call to its update servers to see if an update is available. CURL is widely used in multiple extensions and Joomla it self. Also, it looks like Joomla needs this also to handle its upgrade notification process.
