CB new user nightmare

Is there any real documentation on what these plugin do and how to set them up?

for a community builder website, there sure is no real documentation or community,

for a new user(like me), this site set up is lets say very annoying

takes 5 posts to post on the forum due to how defaults are set up.

almost no updated documentation.

spend more time looking for documentation then working on the actual site,

spend more time experimenting than actual setup.

Hi and thanks for posting this feedback and also for supporting CB as a paid member.

First of all, I agree, the documentation can (and will) be improved.

As CB 2.0 will have many changes I am at the moment working on the next wave of CB documentation which hopefully will be online (instead of current just pdf format).

At the moment the following references are available (I am posting a full list in case you or some other readers missed something):

1. Detailed CB 1.9.1 Documentation (available for Advanced, Professional and Developer members) from the Advanced download area here:

4. CB Profile Gallery documentation that is contained in the CB Gallery package (you need to unzip to see the pdf). The CB Gallery package can be downloaded from the Advanced download area.

5. CB PMS integration guide (outdated but useful) instructs you on how to configure CB integration for uddeIM and other PMS extensions. It is available in the Advanced download area.

6. GroupJive installation guide is included in the Groupjive package (you need to unzip to see the pdf file). GroupJive is available in the Advanced download area.

7. All extra add-ons have very detailed tooltips explaining what each parameter is for. This is not real documentation but still useful.

In addition to this list all our forums are open for reading by everyone - so all our answers are documented and can be searched. There are tons of great answers to very specific and interesting use case questions.

Granted these should be better organized and I will improve everything as we roll out CB 2.0.

I am a community type of person,and CB does offer there product for free.

I understand the amount of work all you are doing, I greatly appreciate it.

If CB needs any help with things, let me know, the more assistance you guys get the better it will be for all of us and our sites.

I am not a guru , but i am sure members like myself could help with how too video's etc (once i figured out how too for myself that is :whistle: )

My plan is that the new documentation framework allows people to comment and give their sample usages - moderated of course as to not waste other readers time - something like the PHP documentation which I really like.

Yup, there is a learning curve with Joomla and with CB Solutions.
