I have been having problems with plugging and combination Joomla 3.2 and CB 1.9!
This is a cut out of my lat communication with my host provider - one.com this morning:

In joomla control panel it says: Unknown Joomla!... Unknown extensions...
you: Earlier when plugins where crashing a support with you said that you did not support "curl"! I'm really having a problem with this as users can not long in and I have had a lot of downtime!
you: You mean, register you on dharmadata?
Varsha: The function CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION is not supported on our servers
you: Is there any way around this, support in Joomla says is very strange if you don't!?
you: This is the message;
Varsha: No, there is no way around
you: Warning: curl_setopt(): CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when safe_mode is enabled or an open_basedir is set in /customers/e/8/c/dharmadata.org/httpd.www/plugins/authentication/gmail/gmail.php on line 84 Incorrect username or password. Please try again.
you: So, then you don't support Joomla 3.2, or?
Varsha: We support this version of Joomla but the function CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION is not supported
Varsha: You will not be able to use the plugin authentication
you: my PHP only goes to line 69 - public $asset -id, I don't see line 84 !

My registered users can not long in and I'm on the point of giving up because I don't have the knowledge to solve this and the different supports, just talk around each other! :-/

Once again - this is not an issue with Community Builder.

It is an issue of your host not aligning it's services/configurations with Joomla environments.

BTW, your host is #3 on this list:
www.joomlahostingreviews.com/worst-joomla-web-hosts.html

This is a Joomla issue and I searched and fownd this ticket:

joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla/tracker/?action=TrackerItemEdit&tracker_item_id=29475

So your options are:

1. Turn off safe mode on your hosting environment if your host allows this.
2. Move to some other host
3. Wait for Joomla to fix this (see ticket I gave) but other extensions (JCK for example) might have similar issue that would need fixing.
4. Live with it.

So once again, there is very little we can do as this is not a CB issue and you would have similar issues if you remove CB altogether from your website.

P.S. Please do not PM me the exact same post you made on the forum.

Hi, I have uninstalled JCK and installed JCE after advice here, why did this problem come up now, it was ok before? There was no problem before when it was a pure Joomla site and no problem after installing CB 1.9, the problems actually started after buying and installing CB Professional!?
I hear what you are saying, but I think there is a bug in one of the plugins that came with the "professional packet" and I'm not professional, so I can not find it!
I can not find any solution with your link and my host is "one.com" not "1and1.com"!
On the Joomla forum support I never get any replies and it i serious for me now when students can't long in and new ones can not register! So, sorry I can not "live" with it!

Your host probably made a change on their end. Your issue is coming from Joomlas authentication plugin, which has nothing to do with CB.

There was no problem before when it was a pure Joomla site and no problem after installing CB 1.9, the problems actually started after buying and installing CB Professional!?

None of our plugins could do this. The only plugins making CURL calls that uses CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION is CB Connect, CB Auto Actions (Request action), and CB AntiSpam, but they automatically will not use it if your host doesn't allow it so there would be no error. There is no bug in any of our products causing this.

I can not find any solution with your link and my host is "one.com" not "1and1.com"!

Your host is literally one of the worst hosts you could possibly get. It is also listed on Joomlas list of worst hosts available (see Nicks reply). We can't be held responsible and expect to fix issues caused by terrible hosting. Especially when this issue is 100% out of our hands.

On the Joomla forum support I never get any replies and it i serious for me now when students can't long in and new ones can not register! So, sorry I can not "live" with it!

We can not configure your hosts servers, only they can do that. If they won't fix it then change hosts.

Maybe the PHP version on your host server is not up to snuff?
