Edit User and Edit List are both legacy pages. Should behave same as 1.9 for now. Edit List takes custom XML form types we've yet to make. Edit User we won't be converting to XML until CB 2.1 where all frontend fields will become XML form types.
The cancel button seams to be ok here in J2.5 and J3.3. Please check F12 > Console and see if there are any fatal JS errors present when viewing user edit and using the cancel button.
