[SOLVED] CB elements management Tabs in backend gone? Now in Frontend editing, too !!!

Hey guys,

just got back to working on my site and noticed that the tabs in all editing modules (fields, tabs, user management) are gone. All options for e.g. privacy plugin or conditionals. All options are listed from to top to bottom with the former tab titles as divisions between them (i.e. a large "1", "2" etc.)

I did disable and enable privacy and conditionals plugins a few times, but don´t know where the connection to this display behaviour might be.

EDIT: And now the Frontend editing does not show tabs, too. I am sure it´s just a small, stupid setting that I´ve overlooked. As it is with most of the user´s problems *argh*

EDIT2: Now it´s not only the frontend editing, but the profile page itself. i had two browser windows open, showing the same profile. I checked the html and css with firebug, but could not see any differences.

Any hints?

Please provide a screenshot of your issue. Sounds like you may just have a fatal JS error present that's breaking your sites jQuery. This usually happens when a JS compression extension or feature is used. Switch to default Joomla template then see if your issue is resolved as 3rd party Joomla templates are usually the culprit.

Well duh. I had the feeling that it is something like that. It of course was a template error.

I had "reactivated" CB Profile Pro, to see if I can get a better profile layout snd to check if the privacy control issues are there, too (of course they are). Well, just disabled it and voilá ! Errors are gone, everything back to normal.

I am just wondering why you guys are advertising that extension on your own site, it even looks like you are developing it, it´s so neatly embedded into your site´s other content?!

We aren't, where are you seeing this so we may take a look to clear up any confusion.

We're not the developers of CB Profile Pro. It's a commercial 3rd party plugin.

When I enter "profile layout" into the search box, it´s right on the first page as the 7th entry and a link leads me to this page: www.joomlapolis.com/cb-solutions/directory/community-building/profiles/community-builder-profile-pro

The undiscerning visitor (i.e. ME) can IMO get the impression that it´s a plugin or extension that is fully supported and endorsed by you guys.
Furthermore, a breadcrumb like "Home/ CB Solutions/ Directory/ Community Building/ Profiles" makes it really tough to discern between your own software and third party apps. And I think that´s what is needed, a simple "third party products"-reference

Yes, I think that CB does need a simple and WYSIWYG-solution for template building .Or at least a little tutorial on the basics of creating a template for CB´s various instances and elements.
