Hi,

I'm trying to create a module that should be displayed on the profile page. It should be displayed on the profile page that you visit, but not on your own. I tried a basic select name from #__comprofiler module, but on the module assignment on Joomla, I don't see "other profiles", I only see the page "My Profile".

Should this be a CB module, or should I develop a CB tab for it to be displayed properly? Are there any guides on developing a new tab?

Module display is based off Itemid. Visiting your profile or another users profile it's always the same Itemid so that's probably not going to work. The module would need to be designed to condition based off the displayed user using CB API.

Hi krileon,

I managed to do it by creating a CB plugin. I followed the pattern of the Helloworld plugin. To my surprise, if the $return value on the function getDisplayTab is null, then the entire tab will not display at all.
