On friday I was happily adding fields to a CB site we are working on (CB 1.91 & Joomla 3.3), we've added most of them, but now have reached this error when we attempt to save a new field and also when trying to execute the fix fields script in CB tools.

Any ideas what causes this and how to fix?

Please turn on Joomla debug to maximum level and see if something more useful is displayed.

How many fields do you have? Likely hit the field limit due to database column size limits.

The alternative is to edit all of your _comprofiler database tables and change their engine from MyISAM to InnoDB, which should allow for up to 1,000 fields. The engine change is already done in CB 2.0.
