CB registration to specific user list

I have a few user lists.
I would like the registration form to include a drop down of that list, so when the person registers, his/her information goes directly to that list.

I understand that it is most likely in a manual, tutorial or on a forum post, but I can't find it. Can someone point me to the right direction.

You cannot really assign a user to a list.

What you can do is have a CB field that the user populates during the registration process and than use that field as a filter in various user lists.

So if you have a drop down field that takes values: male or female, hen you can use this field as a filter in a Male user list and in a Female use list.

Let me play with it, I think I understand. The various lists aren't populated, but are used as search lists, filtering the profiles of the main list. Correct?

Please take some time and download the detailed user manual from the Advanced download area that you also have access to.

Read the manual - it will be a good investment for you.

Specifically read the CB User lists sections.

When you create a user list you can per-determine which users will appear on each list.
This is part of the configuration of your specific user list.

So if you want to create a user list called 'All users in the U.S.A.' based off a CB country field that your users populate on their profiles, then you would use a simple filter in your user list configuration to only show users that have their cb_country field to 'U.S.A.'.
