notifications

I'm using uddeIM for notifications for GroupJive and CB. We're not using it for personal messaging, only group and personal notifications.
Users are finding it difficult and cumbersome to use. Is there any other notification tool you'd recommend?

You can set GJ to send emails. Aside from that, nope. UddeIM and direct emails is currently the only supported notifications. We'll eventually have built in PMS and separate notifications systems; both plugins planned after CB 2.0.

OK, thanks, that's what I thought. The client does not want to use e-mail notifications because there are too many - we have a lot of groups. They want a single daily mail with notifications summary.
Looking forward to 2.0 and the subsequent updates! any idea when the release is going to be?

Yeah, we've no such functionality at this time. It's something to consider when developing the new PMS and Notification plugins though as it makes sense to have daily, weekly, monthly digest options.
