I have some fields with privacy enabled but that additional privacy drop down should not be visible in registration, only on edit. How?

Thanks

PS: "Karma -1" am I asking too many questions??? :S ... actually the goal is to have no karma at all according to guys who "invented" karma, so I guess I'm pretty close :D

Bumped your karma - so now you have no karma at all ;-)

I do not think that the privacy setting of a field you set to appear on the registration form can be turned off just on that form.

The privacy feature as implemented allows users to set the privacy level of a field every time they edit it - even the first time.

cool, now I am one with the universe :D

ok, so I just hide it via css on the reg form because that privacy drop down is massivly overwhelming and confusing for new users

You can do that.

Maybe you can propose something that is less confusing and overwhelming?

yes: let the user complete the profile later, after the registration when ever they are in the mood to do that but dont let your precious users flinch from the reg form!

That is of course one approach and proposal.

Was really looking for a proposal that made things less overwhelming and less confusing - if you have one to propose.
