This site is being rebuilt/upgraded over the next week to Joomla 3.3.
Given that this active membership site is live, what might be the predicted timetable for the errors currently found using CB Subs with the CB 2.0 to be fixed.
My main question is whether I should delay the upgrade if it may be very close or if I should proceed only with CB 1.91 and assume it will be a couple more months until I could reliably utilize CB 2.0 with CB Subs.
I recognize this is only an estimate and I'm only looking for general guidance. (I've already been tuned to your updates for nearly 6 months or more waiting for the release of the beta and stable version.)
Thanks
Check out article of CB 2.0 RC release - there is a link that takes you to a sticky forum post that we use to track CB 2.0 compatibility issues with existing CB plugins.
Both Activity stream and CBSubs have issues.
We are trying to organize our work load in such a way as to have all identified issues taken care of when (or just after) CB 2.0 goes stable.
So, I would propose that you continue your migration to Joomla 3.3 staying on CB 1.9.1 (which is actually a one way path since CB 2.0 will not support Joomla 1.5) and upgrade to CB 2.0 when it goes stable and we have also released new plugins for all identified compatibility issues.
We will also be posting weekly status reviews of CB 2.0 until we reach stable release.
As far as ETA of CB 2.0 stable it really depends on participation of members in the testing effort.
I have personally spent days on testing CB 2.0 RC before we released it but one person will not get much coverage.
So to help, you should test CB 2.0 RC on a clean install and post back any findings (positive or negative).
