Transfer LinkedIn field to CB Connect Drop Down Single Select field

I use CB Connect to get LinkedIn data in Community Builder. Some of these LinkedIn fields (such as Location or Industry) have a limited number of possibilities what it this can be. I want to be able to search on these fields with a Single Select Drop Down field. But even if I have all possible predefined values in my list, and I have connected the relevant LinkedIn fields with the CB fields, the info is not copied from LinkedIn. What to do?

Try linking to a standard Text field and see if it'll map the data. Data mapping isn't guaranteed though as it can't surpass user permissions.

Mapping to a text field works, but this is not so convenient for use a search field. A drop down would be better. The problem would be solved if you make the delimiter fields searchable, especially with a drop down.

The value returned by the social site needs to match your dropdown value exactly. So you'll need to create a dropdown with all the values that could possibly be returned by the social site for it to map like that.
