Use div based layout. Then refresh your browser window without cache (usually CTRL + F5) while viewing your profile as you may have a CSS cache. If issue persists then you likely have a CSS conflict coming from your Joomla template. Most of CBs output is Bootstrap 3 driven so there is no reason for that to happen (tested default J2.5 and J3.x templates as working).
