[SOLVED] CB 1.9.1 + J3.3.3 backend form & menu issues

Isn't J3.3.3 considered "stable"? my CB1.9.1 says it is up-to-date, but in the backend (and places in the front end) all kinds of CB and CBsubs stuff is "broken". Using the default backend "Isis" template for J3.3.3...




For instance, all those little 'empty' text fields actually have data in them!




and the CB and CBsubs menus are invisible until you hover on them, and then they show up with different menu formatting than other extensions. It's like CB1.9.1 is not hooking up with the template (??)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I need to get my 2.5.24->3.3.3 migration done pretty soon

Hmm... did a bit of digging, and found hints that this problem is attributable to "Isis" admin template. Switched to Hathor admin template instead (which for reasons unknown was missing from my installation, and I had to get it again from a "discover" install).

And now both the above issues seem to be resolved.

I guess I should mention again that this is not a clean install of 3.3.3 - its an upgrade from 2.5.24 to 3.3.3. And my previous admin template was 'BlueStork'.

Hathor really breaks the "control panel", too. Is this a common issue, or are all the template problems related to my 2.5.24->3.3.3 upgrade ?

BTW, In the front-end I was using Ximenia 1.1 before, changed to Ximenia 1.7 for 3.3.3

Since I cannot replicate on a clean Joomla 3.3.3 site, I would guess that something went wrong with your upgrade from Joomla 2.5.

Well, things are looking up.

It turns out that my 3.3.3 upgrade managed to silently set the default editor to "none". When I selected the normal default editor (in Joomla Global Configuration) , then the "field" issues went away - works fine again using ISIS backend template.

The CB and CBsubs menus are still not being integrated properly, though.
Still almost invisible tabs (dark grey on the dark blue background) and they have "2.5-style" formatting in the drop-downs. Oddly, now the ICONS have all disappeared in the CB dropdown (they were there yesterday - see above!) - but they are all still present in the CBsubs dropdown...









Any hints?
