CB 1.x or CB 2.0? Joomla version? Custom backend template or default? Any JS fatal errors (red) in browser console (Press F12 > Console)? Have you tried disabling non-core CB plugins 1 by 1 within CB > Plugin Management to see if issue resolves? Repeated same with non-core Joomla system plugins?
