Password validation was created by nwrightau
Hi,

Running CB 1.91, need to have on-page password validation [as you type] - min 8 chars, 1 capital letter. How do I set this up? The user shouldn't be able to progress into the next stage of the form until a valid password has been entered.

Thanks

The in-browser REGEX validation is broken in CB 1.x. It's fixed in CB 2.0 and will do as you're wanting automatically (defaults to Joomla minimum requirements). In CB 1.x I believe it'll only check in-browser that a password was supplied and that it meets the minimum character limit (assuming one is set within your Password field).

Yep, how's the upgrade to 2.0? If it's a seamless upgrade I'll just upgrade the site.

CB 2.0 RC2 is not for live sites - it is for testing only.

But yes, once CB 2.0 stable is released it will be a simple install over to upgrade from CB 1.9.1.

Installed 2.0 on a separate site, in regards to the password validation I can see how it's any different - is there another plugin I have to install?

Default validation is still Any String with a minimum limit of 6 characters. You can edit your password field and adjust the validation as needed.
