Flexible CB Avatar Wall

Hi
I'm creating a website for a symphonic wind orchestra where the membership and communication is organized by Community Builder, each musician being a registered CB member.
I need to create a page with the avatars regrouped by section, like trumpet-players, percussion. I used JoomlaXTC for it but is there perhaps a better way/module/plugin to get the job done ? WIth perhaps a wall showing all musicians and a filter that would only show the musicians with certain search-criterias (list-powered) or so ?
Any suggestions are welcome

I suggest creating a userlist and just allow filtering by your musician field. You can also set the Sort By for the userlist to be your musician field so same musician types will be grouped together when not filtering.
