Profile Gallery lightbox showing each image twice

I am using the Profile Gallery plugin (version 1.2.2). Strangely the lightbox is showing each image (with identical filename) twice. The _comprofiler_plug_profilegallery table has the images listed only once.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Most likely you have something installed that is also using similar lightbox support and it is kicking-in in parallel.

Maybe your template? Or some Joomla plugin?

Yes I do use lightbox elsewhere in the site. Does the Profile Gallery only work properly if it is the only plugin using lightbox?

To clarify, the images are not showing at the same time but one after the other when I cycle through them: Image A, Image A, Image B, Image B… etc

That can happen when lightbox is initialized on the images twice. Try disabling your 3rd party lightbox support and see what happens. It could also just be a bug in the plugin as the plugin is very old (due for rewrite after CB 2.0 Stable).
