Registration errors

Registration errors was created by dillydally
Hi
Some months ago I came up with the issue that members were registering but they were not appearing in the Basket or Subscription and only appearing in the User Manager. There seemed to be no solution so I thought I would keep an eye on it but the trend continues. I can only activate them from the User Manager section by allocating the membership, this means that I'm not capturing the payment or details for records. It is proving to be messy and difficult to manage. Can you advise anything I should be reviewing to solve this.

I also have an issue with plans
In the User Manager I am unable to see the Corporate plan as an option and so I cannot allocate this where necessary.

I have an Honorary member plan which is free and in the User Manager it shows 2 of these as it won't accept that I don't want the system free plan. Nonetheless even though I can live with this the problem is that I cannot seem to allocate the plan to a member and make it stick. Each time I come to the member the plan is still not allocated and so I have people who are not showing up as having any plan at all when they do.

Be grateful for any information/insights you may afford me.

Thanks

It sounds like they're getting to the basket then cancelling it. CB needs the user to be registered so it can use their data during the payment and basket process (it needs a valid user id). So CB first registers them then begins the CBSubs process. If they cancel the basket they're cancelling the subscription, etc.. so they end up with no basket and no subscription. If the user has a subscription, but it's not showing then they either don't have access to it or they haven't paid yet. If you can't see a plan when editing a user then the plan likely is not set to allow upgrades (a purchase while logged in is considered an upgrade).

I understand now that some people may not be completing registration but I just do not understand the issue with honorary memberships.

I have allowed this as an upgrade but only from the back end as it is a membership that is allocated by the committee and not one that people can choose of their own will.

It appears as an option and yet NOTHING will keep them listed as an honorary member, the site triggers a notice saying you are now an honorary member but it doesn't show on their profile or allocate this to them. I've attached some screenshots which I'm hoping will clarify the issue.

Any further insight to resolve this would be gratefully received.
Thanks

That's the pseudo free lifetime subscription. It's internal. You can't get rid of it. It's only shown and only available in backend. It's what the user is given (superficially) if they have no subscription at all. It's basically just a placeholder.

OK but any ideas as to why the Honorary membership doesn't register to the individual, even after repeated attempts to do so in the back end?

Thanks

Looks like a free lifetime plan. Ensure CBSubs is configured to create free lifetime plans within CBSubs > Settings > Global.
