The reporting extensions on JED at the link supplied above is all that I'm aware of. We do not have an official reporting tools like that yet, but it's planned at some point in the future once we've proper import/export API in place.

For what its worth I use jDBExport by Schultz IT - it-solutions.schultz.ch/index.php/jdbexport - I am only another customer, I can't support you and I offer no warranties but I can tell you that I have used the extension for two years or more and it does the job - allows you to create an SQL query that's then presented in an Excel spreadsheet. I have also found the developer to be very helpful.

It appears it may work, but I haven't been able to test it out since it appears to be all in German....

No the jDBexport extension back end is in English, with some terms translate (in French in my case).
Very useful and not very expensive.
