Search All FIelds on Profile Using One Unified Search Field was created by mhs_cb

Is there a way to create a list with a search form that has only 1 field but searches all fields on profile (or multiple selected fields?

You can use CB Search Bot then use Joomla search module to search multiple fields with a single input. Userlists themselves have no such single input searching feature, but it's planned for 2.1.

1. Download the Joomla 2.5/3.0 CB Search bot from here:

2. Install it as a Joomla plugin using the Joomla installer.

3. Find it on the Extension -> Manage plugin page of joomla and edit it.

4. In the plugin Select the CB fields you want searchable (the fields must be configured to be searchable and must be published on a tab that is shown on user profiles.

5. publish the plugin

You will then need to publish the Joomla search module somewhere to get the Joomla search box that will now also work on the profile data.
