I have a paypal gateway set up and it's working fine for credit card payments, but we would like those users with a paypal account to be able to pay directly with paypal (and not have to input credit card information).

Is this possible?

It automatically does this by default if you've configured the gateway and your PayPal account as instructed by our documentation. There should be 2 button like links on the PayPal page (not in CBSubs or on your site) to expand paying by PayPal or expand paying by credit card.

Would like to get this working as you describe

The Presentation section of the paypal pro gateway gives me a choice of "Payment Button type" "Payment Choice Type" and "Accepted credit cards"

Right now the payment page has "Visa" "Master Card" and "Pay by cheque" buttons. The credit card buttons take you to a form that asks for Card number etc. with a "Pay" button at the bottom.... which then takes you to paypal (as opposed to a "Pay Pal" button that takes you to the PayPal site first and then you fill in credit card info.)

I see, you're using PayPal Pro. For what you're wanting you can probably just use PayPal Standard, which will send the user straight to PayPal. PayPal Pro is for accepting payments directly on your site using PayPal API. You shouldn't be going to PayPal at all with PayPal Pro. Sounds more like PayPal Advanced as it has a credit card form and a button to pay at PayPal.
