With CB 2.0 this is easily done with the new Layouts feature, which allows you to change the output of a field. With CB 1.x you'll need to use a delimiter field and substitute in the name fields with your icon HTML next to it. You then would need to replace the field on profile with your substitution field by moving the original name field to a tab in a not shown on profile position. The CB 1.x method won't show up in various plugins though. Another option is to use purely CSS to add an image before or after the name.
