CB Connect 5.2.3 No Email Confirmation on Registration

When I click on the login using the social media apps it gives me the option to either link an account or provide an email address. The user in this case is a new user so it presents the option to login to their preferred social media account and when successful they are asked to input their email address after which but no email is sent.
Before inputting the email this is what it presents

Your registration is not yet complete. Please login to link to an existing account or supply a valid email address to complete registration.

DB function reports no errors

In the backend the user is registered but not confirmed and no confirmation email is sent to the email address that was inputed and even when you select resend confirmation nothing happens.

I also have issues with CB Connect. I understand a total rewrite is underway and a totally new version will be released within the next few days.

Thanks I hope they do so and correct this problem, cause I noticed only once did it bring the complete form. I also realised that when you login with twitter it tells you to register yet you have already linked the account.

If you're using it on CB 2.0 then it probably isn't going to work. If CB 1.x it maybe bugged, I am unable to test that at this time. I'm reviewing API libraries to make social site API usage easier to maintain and will have a major rewrite in the coming weeks for CB Connect.

Thanks for the reply. Well this is a major issue and wish it wouldn't take weeks but I appreciate the feedback. What wold you advise for use on CB 2 that is stable and working or do you think this is more to do with the changes that the third party sites have made on their APIs? I am also getting the following error also "Facebook error message: "App Not Setup: The developers of this app have not set up this app properly for Facebook Login." but will try the solutions I have found online and see if the sort out the problem.

CB Connect problems are a combination of incompatibilities with CB 2.0 and social site APIs being changed. CB Auto Actions upgrade is almost done. After which I'll begin CB Connect upgrade. I don't know how long it'll take.
