hello,
I wish to display ( front website) a simple editor without the ability to insert page breaks , the "Read more " button
Can we assign a default editor of our choice without having to display the settings options in the user profile ?

CB has no control over what buttons display. I recommend using JCE where you can have a custom editor based off the usergroup so your registered users could have an editor with no read more button, etc.. You could also disable that Joomla editor plugin within Extensions > Plug-in Manager.
