Hi,
We have 1 website with 10K plus users. We want to build another website, but can we have no the second website a sort of 'single sign on' function, where the 10K people of webiste 1 can log into website 2 and sync user details? Both websites are on the same server.

How can we do that?

There's no single sign on from 1 CB site to another. We've discussed something like this and it's planned, but in a distant future release. There maybe a Joomla authentication plugin available that can authenticate credentials against another Joomla site. You could then set CBs login method to allow for authentication plugins and it'll create for them a basic CB user on valid login.

You might be able to use a CB Auto Action / SQL type to push people's credentials to another site database. We have used this successfully in many cases.

Hi Nant,

That is great news.
Can you give me a little bit more information.

Can it be two ways?
And when is the user 'synced'? Can it also be forced one time?

Not sure what more information to offer - you would need to understand how each site managed its authentications and credentials and basically work off that using SQL statements (assuming again that all sites are SQL based) to push information from one site to another.
