IE issue with posting in GroupJive was created by AlanJones
I have an issue with posting on group walls in IE 10 & 11.
I'm using JCE in the wall edits and all users on IE 10 & 11 get an error "Wall failed to save! Error: Post not specified!"

I've tested it myself on various versions, there is content in the edit window on save, but for some reason IE 10 & 11 does not see or recognise it?

Any ideas?

J 2.5.27 with Gantry
CB 1.9.1
GJ 2.7.0
JCE 2.4.3

Probably a fatal JS error. The way those editors work is they copy their value to the input, which the input value is what the wall integration is looking for. Switch to plain textarea in GJ > Config > Integrations > Wall and see if it posts fine. If it does try different editors to see if any of them will work.

Yes, I have done that already, and Tiny editor works fine. But without the features we want.
But that's a limitation of using IE, I guess.
We will set the IE users to use TinyMCE as their editor.

Thanks!

If TinyMCE is working fine then sounds like there's a bug in JCE JavaScript causing your issue. I recommend checking if there's a newer version of JCE available or contacting JCE to let them know about a possible bug.

OK, I guess my first questions would be - why only IE11 (seems like 10 and below are fine - and all other browsers are fine).
And why only in GroupJive wall posts? I can use JCE in IE11 with Joomla articles and other content just fine.

Seems to me that it's an IE11 issue?

I've no idea, there could be some other JS error present on IE11 that's causing a conflict. GJ will be receiving an upgrade after I've upgraded our other plugins so I'll be able to find any issues then. If you're not on CB 2.0 then it's likely an overlib or curveycorners bug that we've fixed in CB 2.0 as there were known issues on IE8 and up with both.
